Sing Your Way Through the Outback

I spent many wonderful years living and working in Australia—and it will always feel like a second home to me. So when I began writing children's books, it was only natural to create a few that celebrated the people, places, and wildlife I came to love.

With help from my Australian family, I created two singable stories that highlight the unique beauty of the land down under:

🌿 Over in the Outback
Written to the classic tune “Over in the Meadow”, this playful counting book introduces little readers to iconic Australian animals in their natural habitats. From kangaroos hopping to dingoes howling, it’s a lively read-aloud filled with rhythm, rhyme, and rich vocabulary.

🎶 KOALA: A BINGO Book
There was a bear who loved eucalyptus, and KOALA was his name-o! This sing-along story puts an Aussie twist on the beloved BINGO tune, introducing young children to bushland creatures and native flora along the way. A fun way to practice spelling, rhythm, and animal sounds!

Both books are designed to support early literacy through:

  • Repetition and rhyme

  • Musical engagement

  • Vocabulary development

  • Connection to real-world animals and geography

They’re perfect for classrooms, storytimes, or bedtime snuggles—and a fun way to bring a little Australian sunshine to your bookshelf.

📚 Find them on Amazon or at many online booksellers—and let the singing begin!
