Looking for your next great read
At heart, I’m a librarian first. That means staying on top of fresh releases and upcoming gems is part of the job—and a joy. I read picture books constantly, not just to keep up with what’s new, but to stay inspired. Over the years, I’ve tried my hand at blogging book reviews and sharing recommendations through different outlets. But let’s be real: the internet is overflowing with review sites and passionate readers shouting out their favorites. I wasn’t sure where my voice fit in.
Then a few years ago, I got the chance to review for School Library Journal—and I jumped at it. SLJ is a trusted, well-respected publication packed with thoughtful reviews and articles that genuinely matter to educators, librarians, and book lovers. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of that community.
If you’re curious to see what I’ve been reading and recommending lately, you can check out my reviews on School Library Journal’s website. Who knows? You might just find your next favorite read.
