Why Lone Cow?

 When I started publishing I debated about which name to use - should it be something generic?  With me self-publishing, should I make up a "company" to publish under?   Many questions!  

My grandpa left approximately 500 glass plate negatives.  I've been working on scanning them for quite a while. The pictures are mostly landscapes and farm animals/life.  My absolute favorite is this one of the sheep:

But there was also a couple of pictures of this young cow that I love.  They were simple pictures yet so pretty.  I decided to create a "brand name" called Lone Cow after that adorable cow.  He/she will live on forever captured on glass... along with that sheep!
